The day ticket gives entry to the European Grain Festival on either Thursday or Friday, where you can dive into the world of grains alongside professionals in the grain value chain.
Meet committed farmers, bakers, millers, scientists and food artisans who share their knowledge, experiences and passion for grains.
Through presentations, workshops, field walks and tastings, you will have the opportunity to experience grains from seeds to finished food. We have invited a number of international experts who, with different angles, make us more aware of cereals as a raw material.
The festival takes place at Kalø Ecological Agricultural School, which provides the setting for both professional talks and informal meetings. The European Grain Festival is more than a professional event — it is a gathering point for exchange, networking and community around cereals.
We hope you will come home with new knowledge, new connections and a renewed understanding of the importance of grains — in agriculture, in food and in the food systems of the future.

The organic farmers’ own seed system
Landsorten was established in 2021 and is a Danish organization that develops and disseminates new and old organic cereal varieties with special qualities for food and people.
More than 25 years of breeding work by selected researchers — primarily the Danish researcher Anders Borgen of Agrologica — form the foundation for Landsorten’s current portfolio of more than 50 different organic cereal varieties.
Landsorten is an association with 140 members, mainly organic farmers, mills, distilleries, and bakeries that grow and process the cereal varieties.
Landsorten is responsible for maintaining varietal purity and coordinates the multiplication of high-quality seed in collaboration with its member growers.
Landsorten also promotes awareness of the varieties among end users in the market.
